Services for Elizabeth F. Henderson, 104, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Henderson died Monday, March 24, 1997, at Presbyterian Manor.

She was born Oct. 3, 1892, in Bates County, Mo., the daughter of Franklin Milton and Martha Lee Corbin Henderson.

She received her bachelor of arts degree from Central Missouri State College, Warrensburg, Mo. She moved to Lawrence from Linn County in 1922 to pursue her master's degree, which she received from Kansas University in 1927.

Ms. Henderson taught school in the Lawrence public school system for 35 years. She retired in 1959.

She was a member of Lawrence Friends Church, Delta Kappa Gamma and Westside Study Club; a life member of Adah Chapter No. 7 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a sister, Esther Lee Fulton, Winston-Salem, N.C.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Friends Church, Good Samaritan Fund of Lawrence or Presbyterian Manor, sent in care of the funeral home.
