Services for Genevieve H. Simpson, 75, Duncanville, Tex., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ninth Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Rene Brown officiating.
Mrs. Simpson died Monday, June 24, 1996, in Duncanville.
She was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Lawrence, the daughter of Henry Clay and Helen Cushinberry Harding.
Mrs. Simpson, a homemaker, had lived in Lawrence until she moved to Texas two years ago. She was a cook at Kansas University and a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church.
She married LeRoy Simpson in 1941 in Lawrence. He died in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Simpson, Duncanville; two sons, Maurice Simpson, Lawrence, and Anthony Simpson, Seattle; a brother, Hector Harding, Lawrence; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, which is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Disease Assn. They may be sent in care of the mortuary.
