— Services for John "Jack" Stewart, 76, Prairie Village, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Anglican Church, Prairie Village. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart died Monday, June 17, 1996, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

He was born March 20, 1920, in Lawrence, the son of Clarence C. and Maude Brigham Stewart.

Mr. Stewart, a 1957 Kansas University graduate, worked as personnel and safety manager for chemical plants before retiring in 1985. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II and was missing in action.

He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church.

He was married to Virginia Covington. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, J.C., Charlotte, N.C., and Steve, Roeland Park; two daughters, Pamela Wetterman, Tulsa, Okla., and Carol Ann Sramek, McDonald; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
