— Services for Delbert E. Perkins, 73, Lake Wildwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Penn Valley Community Church.

Mr. Perkins died June 6, 1996, from a heart attack while traveling in Stockholm, Sweden.

He was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Lawrence, Kan.

He received his education in Lawrence and graduated from Kansas University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and served in the 42nd Rainbow Division during World War II in Europe, returning as a captain.

Mr. Perkins worked for Colgate Palmolive Company for 32 years in various engineering and management positions. During his career with Colgate, he worked in Kansas, California, New York and England. He traveled worldwide in his position as corporate vice president of employee relations. After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Lake Wildwood, where they had lived for 15 years. He was a member of the Lake Wildwood Golf Assn.

He was married to Virginia Carter for 52 years. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Dale Perkins, Walnut Creek, and Robert Perkins, Kingwood, Tex.; two daughters, Cindy Finley, Davis, and Nancy Pilkington, Lodi; a sister, Jeannette Olin, Lawrence; and eight grandchildren.

The family will meet with friends after the service Friday at the Perkins' home.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn.
