— Services for Robert L. "Bob" Schuler, 76, Grantville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, with the Rev. James Bailey officiating. American Legion honors will be conducted by Post No. 142 of the American Legion of Perry. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery, Williamstown.

Mr. Schuler died Saturday, June 15, 1996, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.

He was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Collins, Mo., the son of Lou and Ethel Williamson Schuler. He had lived in Grantville for 50 years. He was a track foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Williamstown Assembly of God Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving four years in the Army Air Corps and attaining the rank of technical sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 142 of Perry.

He married Frances E. Trusty on Nov. 17, 1941, in Oskaloosa. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Dixie Ann Cornelison, Topeka; a son, Gail, Topeka; two sisters, Ruby Langferman, Perry, and Beula Bauman, Idleyld, Ore.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Barnett Funeral Home.
