— Services for J. Glenn Petty, 78, Ozawkie, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ozawkie United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Fry officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Mr. Petty died Sunday, June 16, 1996, at his home in Ozawkie.

He was born Sept. 25, 1917 in Nashville, Tenn., the son of Edelen and Ossie Corlew Petty. He had lived in Ozawkie since 1983, moving from Topeka where he had lived since 1958. He was a mechanic at the E.I. DuPont Co. in Topeka for many years, retiring in 1982. He attended the Ozawkie United Methodist Church. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a member of the Ozawkie Memorial Post No. 225 of the American Legion. He was a graduate of White Bluff (Tenn.) High School.

He married Mildred L. Pike on May 16, 1956, in Springfield, Tenn. She survives of the home.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the church.
