Four people were injured in a two-car accident that occurred about 8:51 a.m. Monday just south of Lawrence at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and 1100N Road, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Eda Thomason, 60, Lawrence, was listed in fair condition Tuesday night at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Three of five teen-age girls who were in the other car, Mitzi Zotigh, Angel Benton and Rhonda Yeahpau, all Lawrence, were injured and treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, a hospital representative said.
Two other teen-age girls, one from Lawrence and one from Eudora, were not injured, a patrol dispatcher said. The dispatcher would not release the names of the teen-agers.
The dispatcher said Thomason was driving her 1979 Toyota Corolla south when the 1986 Ford driven by Zotigh ran a stop sign and collided with the passenger's side of Thomason's car.
