If you have the money, you can see the premiere of Robert Altman's "Kansas City" Saturday night at Midland Theatre, 1228 Main, Kansas City, Mo.

Movie tickets are $27.75 or $53, and if you want to go to the 1930s-theme gala you'll have to pay $150, $250 or $500. The North American premiere is a benefit for the 18th and Vine Heritage Jazz Festival, Union Station Assistance Corp. and the Variety Club of Kansas City.

The movie, which stars Harry Belafonte, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Miranda Richardson, will open Aug. 16 in theaters across the country.
