Folks can take a walk on the wild side this weekend at Kansas University.

A collection of critters will be displayed in the Kansas Union for the 39th annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles.

A live exhibit of amphibians and reptiles is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday in the Pine Room at the union.

The public also is invited to a free multimedia presentation from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday in Woodruff Auditorium, Kansas Union.

It features "Herps of the West," "Amphibians of the Appalachians" and "Namesakes of North American Amphibians and Reptiles."
