Bonner Springs Funeral services for Dean Alexander, 72, Edwardsville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. Cremation will follow.
Mr. Alexander died Monday, Sept. 16, 1996, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Pickering, Mo., the son of George and Edith Alexander.
He lived in Tucson, Ariz., before living in Edwardsville. He had worked as a boiler operator at Harcros Chemicals, Kansas City, since 1969.
Mr. Alexander married Bettie Randolphin Aug. 15, 1948. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Mike Alexander, Basehor, and Greg Alexander, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Lori Herring, Dallas; a brother, George W. Alexander Jr., Overbrook; a sister, Betty McClaren, Wichita; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may visit from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home's chapel.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church or to the American Kidney Foundation.
