An 18-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested in connection with the stabbing of her sister late Saturday night, police said.
A 20-year-old Lawrence woman was treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital late Saturday night for a stab wound and released, authorities said.
Lawrence police found the stabbing victim at Hy-Vee, 3504 Clinton Pkwy. The stabbing reportedly occurred in the 2200 block of Melholland Road, police said.
Police Sgt. Mark Warren said the sisters were arguing in a car before the stabbing occurred outside the vehicle on Melholland.
The suspect allegedly cut a 2-inch laceration on the victim's left wrist.
The suspect was arrested early Sunday and booked into Douglas County Jail in connection with aggravated battery, driving while under the influence, no proof of insurance and no driver's license.
Bond will be set at 3 p.m. today.
