Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 45-year-old Lawrence man told police that between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, someone stole tools and equipment valued at $1,050 from his vehicle while it was parked in the 1900 block of East 25th.

Condition reports

  • Loren Brouhard, Lawrence, was upgraded from serious to fair condition Saturday at KUMC. Brouhard was injured Wednesday in a three-vehicle accident in the 1700 block of Massachusetts.

Fire calls

Lawrence firefighters:

  • Responded to a trash fire outside a structure at 7:49 p.m. Friday at 525 Fla.
  • Responded to a carbon monoxide leak at 9:13 p.m. Friday at 419 Minn., where they found that an improperly functioning furnace was releasing higher-than-normal levels of carbon monoxide in the residence.
  • Responded to a LifeFlight standby at 9:31 p.m. Friday at LMH.
  • Responded to a call at 10:23 a.m. Saturday at 2424 Melrose, where a resident accidentally had triggered an alarm.
  • Responded to a call at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at 953 E. 23rd.

  • Urgent transfer, 10:16 a.m. Saturday, 1500 block of Inverness.
  • Medical emergency, 10:22 a.m. Saturday, 2400 block of Melrose.
  • Medical emergency, 10:23 a.m. Saturday, Grandview Trailer Park in Eudora.
  • Auto accident, 10:40 a.m. Saturday, 23rd and Haskell, no transport.
  • Auto accident, 12:18 p.m. Saturday, Harvard and Iowa, no transport.
  • Urgent transfer, 1:45 p.m. Saturday, 3000 block of West 31st.
  • Auto accident, 2:48 p.m. Saturday, U.S. Highway 59 and North 150 Road, two patients transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, where they were treated and released.
  • Auto accident, 4:14 p.m. Saturday, 2300 section of North 400 Road, two patients transported to LMH. Bonnie Martin, Wellsville, was treated and released. Gina Martin, Wellsville, was listed in good condition late Saturday.
  • Auto accident, 4:32 p.m. Saturday, 900 block of Iowa, one patient transported to LMH, where she was treated and released.
  • Medical emergency, 7:04 p.m. Saturday, 600 block of Ohio, no transport.
  • Auto accident, 7:27 p.m. Saturday, 21st and Louisiana, no transport.
