— Services for Ralph Dean Bryson, 64, Overbrook, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Overbrook. Burial will follow at Overbrook Cemetery.

Mr. Bryson died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996, at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City.

He was born Nov. 25, 1931, the son of Chester and Mabel Bryson at the home his father built in Overbrook.

Mr. Bryson was a farmer working on a farrow-to-finish hog operation. He retired from active farming in 1995. He participated in the Tractorcade to Washington, D.C., in hopes of helping the focus of the farming industry.

He eventually became a private pilot to enjoy yearly family vacations.

He married Ruth E. Hoover on Nov. 5, 1950, in Kansas City, Kan. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Janet E. Jones, Olathe, and Carolyn Bryson, Salina; a brother, Chester, McAllen, Tex.; and two grandsons.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. until the service hour on Monday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to a cancer fund or agricultural conservation and preservation fund to be specifically designated at a later date. Memorials may be sent in care of the funeral home.
