Graveside services for Goldie Lown Sewell, 91, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sewell died Friday, Aug. 9, 1996, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 13, 1904, in Lawrence, the daughter of Fred and Josephine Langley Allen.
Mrs. Sewell, a lifelong Lawrence resident, was a homemaker.
She married Joseph Elmer Lown Sr. in 1925 in Oskaloosa. He died in 1957. She married Chester Scott Sewell in 1968 in Topeka. He died in 1973.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph E. Lown Jr., Lawrence, Russell E. Lown, Lynn Haven, Fla., and Franice L. Lown, Korat, Thailand; three daughters, Judy Shears, Kansas City, Mo., Linda Lassen, Lawrence, and Izetta Countess, Oklahoma City; a sister, Pearl Campbell, Wellsville; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements. The family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Penn House. They may be sent in care of the funeral home.
