Kenneth E. Peirce II, Lawrence, has been named vice president of UMB Bank Kansas at its Lawrence location, 1441 Wakarusa Dr.

Peirce will be responsible for commercial banking and business development.

Carole A. Scott has been promoted to trust officer by the board of directors of the Trust Company of Kansas.

Scott, who will continue to serve Lawrence clients, has been with the company for five years.

Kermit Cottrell, exclusive agent for Allstate Insurance Co., 2449 Iowa, received the agency performance award for February 1996.

He is a a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters.

Doug Bennett of Berthel Fisher in Lawrence has been named to Franklin Templeton Distributors Inc.'s 1995 Kite and Key Club.

Bennett placed more than $1 million in sales in Franklin Templeton mutual funds and Valuemark variable annuity products in 1995.

Cal Lantis of Ottawa Real Estate has affiliated his business with Coldwell Banker, a national real estate company.

The business's name will be Coldwell Banker Lantis & Associates with offices at 120 W. Third, Ottawa.

Lantis is a graduate of the Real Estate Institute. He is president of the Franklin County Board of Realtors and on the board of directors for the Kansas Association of Realtors.
