— Services for Leola A. Oroke, 68, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tonganoxie Christian Church with the Rev. Ben Saathoff officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Oroke died Wednesday, April 3, 1996, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.

She was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Ozawkie, the daughter of Alvora R. and Caryl E. May Stephens.

She moved to Tonganoxie from Basehor nine years ago. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Oroke was a member of Tonganoxie Christian Church and had been employed from 1966 to 1971 as a security guard for the Sunflower Ordinance Plant.

She married Daryl Oroke on Aug. 23, 1945, in Oskaloosa. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Dean Oroke, Tonganoxie; two daughters, Sharon Childers and Rhonda Phillips, both of Leavenworth; four brothers, Loren Stephens and Dick Stephens, both of Oskaloosa, Rollie Stephens, Valley Falls, and Clayton Stephens, Crested Butte, Mont.; two sisters, Eleanor Seifert, Winchester, and Ona Wells, Meriden; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.

The family suggests memorials to Tonganoxie Christian Church.
