Services for Ernest David Wray, 79, rural Baldwin and Rocky Mount, Va., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the German Baptist Meeting House, in the Willow Springs community south of Lawrence. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Grove.
Mr. Wray died Friday, Sept. 15, 1995, in Roanoke, Va.
He was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Washington state. He was a longtime resident of the Baldwin area. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Church in the Willow Springs community.
He was married to Evelyn P. Shuck. She died July 29, 1981. He was married to Opal B. Wray. She survives in Rocky Mount.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mary Alice Flory, Lawrence, and Mildred Davidson, Dallas, Ore.; five stepsons, Billy Boone and Joe Boone, both of Ferrum, Va., C.D. Boone and Terry Boone, both of Modesto, Calif., and Keith Boone, Rocky Mount; three stepdaughters, Bonnie Beckner, Roanoke, Connie Riffey, Pendelton, Ind., and Cindy Brooks, Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 26 stepgrandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.
