Were the killers of Jeffrey Dahmer identified and prosecuted?
One man, Christopher Scarver, was charged in connection with the December 1994 slayings of Dahmer and Jesse Anderson, inmates at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wis., said Joseph Scislowicz, information officer for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Scarver, who was serving a life sentence for murder, later pleaded guilty to two counts of murder for the bludgeoning deaths of Dahmer and Anderson. He was sentenced to two additional consecutive life prison terms and is now being held in a federal penitentiary, Scislowicz said.
At the time of his death, Dahmer was serving 15 consecutive life sentences for the slayings of 17 young men in his Milwaukee apartment. Dahmer admitted to killing and dismembering his victims and cannibalizing their bodies.
