Lawrence police are investigating the reported robbery of a local pizzeria about 10 p.m. Saturday.
A man entered Godfather's Pizza, 711 W. 23rd, and demanded cash from employees, police Sgt. Doug Bell said. The suspect told employees he had a gun, but employees didn't see a weapon, Bell said.
The man fled the restaurant on foot after employees gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, Bell said. No one was injured.
The incident is not believed to be connected to the reported armed robbery of an Asian food store on Thursday night, Bell said.
Anyone with information about the crime may call Crime Stoppers at 843-TIPS (8477).
A reward is available for people with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for crimes.
Saturday's incident marks the third time in three years that the local Godfather's has been robbed.
The restaurant also was robbed on July 5, 1993, and on Jan. 27, 1994.
