Oskaloosa -- Funeral services for Wilma D. Cox Betts Rodman, 68, rural Oskaloosa, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett Funeral Home here with the Rev. Jon Boyd officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Rodman died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1995, at her home.

She was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Wichita, the daughter of William E. and Jennie E. Ratliff Cox. After the death of her mother, she was adopted and reared by Harry R. and Lewie A. Garren Cox Betts, her grandmother.

Mrs. Rodman had lived in rural Oskaloosa since 1981, moving there from Perry, where she had lived since 1957.

A 1944 graduate of Perry Rural High School, Mrs. Rodman worked as a group leader in the paste-up department of Josten's American Yearbook in Topeka. She also had taught school from 1944 to 1945 at the Oak Grove Country School in Jefferson County and worked as a waitress and cashier at a Perry restaurant for a short time.

She was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church and the Friendship Circle Club in Perry.

She married John T. Rodman Sr. on March 4, 1994, at Perry. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, John T. Rodman Jr., Topeka, and Raymond G. Rodman, Normal, Ill; a daughter, Debra K. Roberson, Perry; an adoptive brother, Emmett Cox, Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Mrs. Rodman was preceded in death by an infant child; her adoptive sister, Thelma Metzger; and an adoptive brother, Fred Cox.

Friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials to Jefferson County Hospice. They may be sent in care of Barnett Funeral Home, 820 Liberty, Oskaloosa 66066.
