Twelve people were elected this week to the Douglas County Extension Council.
The council members, who were elected from districts that coincide with county commission districts, serve on Extension program development committees concerned with agriculture and horticulture; home economics; 4-H and youth; and economic development.
Those panels identify the county's educational needs in their specific areas of interest and work with the Extension staff and executive board to develop and deliver programs.
Those elected to seats on the council are:
Agriculture: District 1, Mary Pat Feifarek; District 2, Kermit Kalb; District 3, Roger Flory.
Home economics: District 1, Donna Osness; District 2, Darlene Bright; District 3, Twilla Brown.
4-H and youth: District 1, Tammy Graham; District 2, Paula Aiken; District 3, Dwane Schaake.
Economic development: District 1, Lisa Blair; District 2, Joe Kelly; District 3, David Nottingham.
