Services for Dorothy F. Cotton, 82, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church. Private inurnment will be held later.
Mrs. Cotton died Friday, Oct. 27, 1995, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 13, 1913 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Clarence and Florence M. McDonald Fearl.
Mrs. Cotton grew up in Hutchinson and graduated from Hutchinson High School before attending business college for a year. She worked at the First National Bank of Wichita and at KPL as a secretary. After living in Pecos, N.M., for six years, Mrs. Cotton returned to Kansas and worked for the Selective Service Board in Lyons from 1941 to 1945.
In 1967, she became the housemother at Gamma Phi Beta sorority at Kansas University.
She was first married to J.B. Runnels and then married Dr. L.J. Beyer in 1947 in Lyons. He died in 1967. She married Corlett J. Cotton in Lawrence in 1983. He died on April 29, 1992.
Survivors include a son, John B. Runnels, Palo Alto, Calif.; a daughter, Diane B. Perett, Arlington, Va.; a stepdaughter, Cathleen B. Robinson, Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister, Elizabeth Prather, Fort Morgan, Colo.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Van Zandt.
The family will meet with friends at the church after the service.
Memorials may be sent to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Good Samaritan Fund of Lawrence. They may be sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
