Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 34-year-old Lawrence man told police someone broke into his vehicle between 7 p.m. Thursday and 7:15 a.m. Friday while it was parked in the 300 block of Pleasant and stole assorted tools and construction equipment valued at $2,000. No arrests have been made.

Lawrence firefighters:

  • Responded to a duplex fire at 5:51 p.m. Friday at 3219 Rainier, where they extinguished a fire in the garage and attic of the residence.
