Fire calls

  • Responded to a smoke scare at 11:33 a.m. Friday at 1439 Tenn., where welding had set off an alarm.
  • Responded to a smoke scare at 12:30 p.m. Friday at 1502 W. Second Ter., where smoke from cooking had set off an alarm.
  • Responded to a spill at 2:16 p.m. Friday at Harvard and Iowa. Firefighters washed the street after an auto accident.
  • Responded to a suspected gas leak at 5:51 p.m. Friday at 2411 La. No leak was found.

  • Auto accident, 4:51 p.m. Friday, Fifth and Maine. One patient was taken to LMH.
  • Medical emergency, 4:58 p.m. Friday, 100 block of Michigan.
  • Auto accident, 6:11 p.m. Friday, 1800 block of West 23rd.
