Services for Patti Dyer, 58, Lawrence, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin.
Mrs. Dyer died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the daughter of Douglas Paul and Frances Mack. She graduated from high school in New Jersey and moved to Leavenworth, Kansas City in 1975 and then to Lawrence in 1984. She was manager of the Prairie Ridge Place Apartments since 1986. She also worked for Manpower Inc. for many years and was manager of ticket takers for Kansas University sporting events.
She married Ed Hartwell, in Ho Ho Kus, N.J. They were later divorced. She married Jim Dyer on June 10, 1987, in Lawrence. He survives at the home.
Other survives include two sons, Ed Hartwell Jr., Atlanta, and Douglas Hartwell, Lawrence; three daughters, Dotti Shuck, Christine Hartwell and Kimberlee Hartwell, all of Lawrence; three stepdaughters, Cheryl Ragan, Baldwin, Lorie Thomason, Gardner and Linda Westgate, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday, at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m Wednesday.
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Assn., in care of the funeral home.
