— Services for Jeanne McRae Moreau, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Plymouth Congregational Church with the Rev. Peter Luckey officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.

Mrs. Moreau died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1995, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She born in Jasper County, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Frankie Hill McRae.

She moved to Lawrence in 1938 from Carthage, Mo. She was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi social sorority and served as sponsor of the Kansas chapter for several years.

She was a founder of the Law Wives and helped start the Women's Investment Club at Kansas University. She also was a member of the American Association of University Women.

She married former KU Law Dean Frederick J. Moreau Sr. on Dec. 4, 1938, in Carthage, Mo. He died Feb. 21, 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Frederick J. Moreau Jr., Stanley, and David Moreau, Baldwin; a brother, LeRoy McRae, Bonner Springs; six grandchildren; and her companion, J. Hammond McNish, Lawrence.

The family suggests memorials to the Frederick J. Moreau Scholarship Fund. They may be sent in care of the KU Endowment Association.

Warren-McElwain Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
