Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A .22-caliber revolver and a video recorder valued together on a police report at $1,500 were taken between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 9 from a residence in the 2600 block of Whitmore, Lawrence police reported Thursday.

Sheriff's reports

  • A rural Ottawa man faces a Monday court appearance on charges stemming from the shooting Tuesday night of his girlfriend. Capt. Craig Davis of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said Richard Snell, 43, was arrested about 5 p.m. Wednesday on a criminal warrant charging him with aggravated battery and aggravated assault on the 32-year-old woman. Davis said the woman was shot in the left buttock between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Tuesday during a domestic dispute at the couple's home. She was treated at Ransom Memorial Hospital and released. The shooting occurred during an argument, Davis said.

  • Medical emergency, 1:06 a.m. Thursday, 1900 block of West 31st. No transport.
  • Medical emergency, 1:55 a.m. Thursday, 2400 block of West 25th.
