Alice M. Fuel
Services for Alice M. Fuel, 80, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Ms. Fuel died Sunday, Nov. 12, 1995, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 4, 1915, in Lawrence, the daughter of John Henry and Bertie Brown.
She was a lifelong Lawrence resident. She cooked for Kansas University fraternities and sororities for 30 years and had worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant.
Ms. Fuel played guitar and piano in the Senior Citizens' Band for several years and was a member of Second Christian Church.
Survivors include a brother, Julian Brown, Leavenworth. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests memorials to Project Lively. They may be sent in care of the funeral home.
