Tom Stidham, Dawn Allen-Coffin and Karen Mackey will be inducted into the American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame during ceremonies at 6:30 tonight at Curtis Hall on the Haskell campus.
Stidham, a former head coach at Oklahoma University and an assistant coach with the Green Bay Packers, will be inducted posthumously. Stidham Union on the Haskell campus is named after him.
Allen-Coffin, daughter of former Haskell football coach Noah Allen, won numerous North American Indian singles tennis championships from 1976-91.
Mackey was a masters national judo champion in 1987.
The American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1972 to honor Native Americans who have risen to national prominence in college and professional sports.
Currently, the shrine has 77 members, including 1964 Olympics 10,000-meter gold medalist Billy Mills, and football legends Jim Thorpe and John Levi.
