— Services for Edith Louise Brecheisen, 83, Baldwin, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clearfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gerald Toburen officiating. Burial will be at Clearfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Brecheisen died Wednesday, March 29, 1995, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 21, 1912, in rural Eudora, the daughter of Chris and Anna Richtermiere Mueffels. She lived most of her life in the Clearfield area and attended Evening Star Rural Grade School near Eudora.

She married Philip A. Brecheisen on Feb. 29, 1928, in Hiawatha. Mr. Brecheisen died May 14, 1970.

A homemaker, Mrs. Brecheisen helped her husband on the family farm for several years. She was a member of Clearfield United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Garden Club and Royal Neighbors Club. She also bowled in several Baldwin leagues.

Survivors include four sons, Philip, Eudora, Jay, Lawrence, Marvin, Lyndon, and Dale, Wellsville; a daughter, Marcella Madl, Baldwin; a sister, Ann Whaley, Eudora; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin, and after noon Saturday at Clearfield United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Clearfield United Methodist Church or the Kansas Heart Assn. Memorials may be sent in care of the funeral home.
