Will Democrat Judy Hancock run for Kansas' 3rd District seat in Congress again in 1996 against Republican Congresswoman Jan Meyers?
Hancock, an attorney who ran against Mrs. Meyers in 1994 and received 43 percent of the vote to Mrs. Meyers' 57 percent, hasn't decided.
"I'm thinking about it, but I haven't made any final decisions," Hancock said. "A lot of people have been asking me about it, and I'm very encouraged."
Hancock said she hasn't set a deadline for a decision, although she said it would have to be by the early part of next year.
"We're just getting as much advice as we can from many different quarters," Hancock said.
Meanwhile, she said she is observing what Mrs. Meyers and other Republicans are doing in Congress and whether they are addressing the needs and concerns of the people in the 3rd District, which includes Lawrence.
