Bialsko-Biala, Poland -- Services for Rebecca Alice James Lesnikowski, 40, Lawrence, will be held Friday in Bialsko-Biala, Poland.

Mrs. Lesnikowski died Saturday, July 22, 1995, in Bialsko-Biala.

She was born June 29, 1955, in Rhinelander, Wis., the daughter of Joseph Bernard and Betty Alice Clausen James.

She attended the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, where she received a bachelor's degree in architectural studies in 1981 and a master's degree in architecture in 1983. She was a registered architect in Wisconsin.

She had been an assistant professor of architecture at Kansas University since 1991. She was previously employed as an architect by Roger Kraft in Kansas City, Mo.; Kupritz and Associates, Chicago; Graham Anderson Probst and White, Chicago; Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Chicago; Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura, Paris; and Beckley-Meyers Architects, Milwaukee.

She married Wojciech Lesnikowski in 1987. He survives at the home in Lawrence.

Other survivors include two daughters, Alexandra C. Lesnikowski and Natalie A. Lesnikowski, both of Lawrence; her mother, Betty Alice Clausen; her father and stepmother, Joseph Bernard James and Kathleen James; and two brothers, Vincent James and Gregory James, all of Milwaukee.
