With the big projects out of the way, repaving crews next week will turn their attention to $650,000 worth of work on residential streets in 20 locations.
Crews already have completed resurfacing projects along 15th Street, Wakarusa Drive and Connecticut Street. That leaves the next round of projects open for work.
This week, the city released a list detailing areas slated for work. Motorists should expect delays in these areas:
Intersection of Arrowhead Drive and Princeton Boulevard; Carolina Street curbs, 21st to 22nd streets; Crestline Drive, 15th Street to University Drive; El Dorado Drive; Glen Eagle Court; Harvard Road, Iowa Street to Hilltop Drive; Highland Drive, Ninth Street to Harvard.
Kasold Drive frontage road, Seminole Drive to 1613 Kasold; intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Princeton; Mississippi Street curbs, 18th to 19th streets; Quail Creek Drive, Tam O'Shanter to Augusta drives; Schwarz Road, Ninth to Yale Road.
Scioto Drive, Kasold to Camelback Drive; Settlers Drive; St. Andrews Drive, Glen Eagle to Tam O'Shanter; Stratford Court, Stratford Drive to north cul-de-sac; Tomahawk Drive, Lawrence to cul-de-sac; West Hills Parkway curbs, Stratford to West Hills Drive; Yale, Schwarz to Centennial Drive.
Other projects also could spark traffic delays:
- Locust Street remains closed between North Second and North Third streets, for reconstruction.
- Partial lane closings remain on 27th Street, from Inverness to Wakarusa drives, for work related to construction of the South Lawrence Trafficway.
- Replacements of water lines also will close Wisconsin Street, between Fourth and Fifth streets, to all but local traffic. Some lane closings also will occur on Ninth, from Alabama to Louisiana, for waterline work.
