ESTACADA, ORE. — Services for Georgia Viola Harris, 69, Hesperia, Calif., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the Estacada Funeral Chapel, Estacada, Ore.
Mrs. Harris died Thursday, Jan. 26, 1995, in Hesperia.
She was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Clifford and Etna Powers. She received her education in Ottawa. She moved to Portland, Ore., in 1961, where she lived until four years ago when she moved to California to be near her daughters. She spent many years as a volunteer with the Alzheimer's support group in Portland.
She married David Harris on Aug. 23, 1943, in Lawrence. He died in May 1985.
Survivors include a son, James L., Portland; two daughters, Sharon K. Miller and Jannis L. Hook, both of Hesperia; her mother, Etna Dale Powers, Portland; five brothers, Eugene D. Powers, Portland, Donald R. Powers, LaPine, Ore., Charles R. Powers, Trenton, Mo., Glen M Powers and Kenneth L. Powers, both of Lawrence; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to The American Heart Assn. or Alzheimer's Assn. in care of the funeral chapel.
