— Funeral services for Anna Elizabeth Denholm, 95, Tonganoxie, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the first Congregational Church here with the Rev. Robert Kasper officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Denholm died Thursday, Jan. 26, 1995, at the Eudora Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 6, 1899, in Reno, the daughter of Samuel and Bridget Gallagher Haas. She taught at Wild Horse Elementary School from 1919 to 1920.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Plymouth Guild, Chapter 82 of O.E.S., the Rebeka Lodge, Smith Ladies Aid, all Tonganoxie, and the Leavenworth County E.H.U. She also was a Republican Precinct Committeewoman for many years.

She married Walter G. Denholm on Oct. 2, 1920, in Platte City, Mo. He died in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Walter Lee, Tonganoxie; two daughters, Anna Mary Doege, Tonganoxie, and Selma I. Pulley, Mission; a brother, Virgil Haas, Mesa, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

The family will meet with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
