I understand that three agencies -- the senior center, Independence Inc. and the city -- are keeping track of the number of people they have to turn down for public transportation daily. Could you get statistics like that before the public?
Cliff Blair, coordinator and broker for Douglas County Area Transportation, said the figures weren't available yet because he had not finished compiling his annual report.
The report will review the city's first nine months of coordinated public transportation, including six months' worth of turned-down rides, Blair said.
The report will be presented to the Douglas County Community Transportation Coordinating Council during a meeting at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 20 in the third-floor conference room at Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center, 336 Mo.
Anyone with questions about the report may call Blair at the transportation office, 749-2287 (749-ABUS).
