— Services for Charles T. Komer, 75, rural DeSoto, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora, with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, with graveside services conducted by the Linden-Tripkos Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6654.

Mr. Komer was found dead at his home Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995.

He was born June 9, 1919, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Tobias J. and Adolphia Sommers Komer. He lived in the DeSoto area for most of his life. He was a farmer stockman and house painter.

Mr. Komer served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the VFW post in DeSoto, Jayhawk Chapter No. 22 of the Disabled American Veterans in Lawrence and Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Steltman, Tuscon, Ariz., and Irene Drew, Brooksville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday at the mortuary. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church, in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
