Police reports

  • A 31-year-old Lawrence woman has told police that a male acquaintance borrowed her 1980 Buick Electra and didn't return it. The woman told police the man took the car between 7:15 a.m. Monday and 7:10 a.m. Tuesday. The man had borrowed the car, which was valued at $1,000 on the report, in the past, police said.

Injury accidents

  • A Douglas County man was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle accident about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday at Harvard and Iowa. Michael Broadfoot was transported to the hospital by the Douglas County Ambulance Service. A police accident report was unavailable this morning.
  • Henrietta Carlin, Lawrence, was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle accident about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at 31st and Iowa. Douglas County Ambulance Service personnel treated four other people at the scene who did not require hospital treatment. A police accident report was unavailable this morning.

Condition reports

  • Vernon E. Wilson, 87, 925 W. 18th, was listed in good condition this morning at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Wilson was injured Dec. 23 when his car crashed into a barricade at 17th and Alabama.
