TUCSON, ARIZ. Services for the Rev. Robert C. Swift, 74, former rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence, Kan., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Alban's Episcopal Church here. Cremation will follow with interment later at St. Alban's Columbarium.
The Rev. Swift died Friday, Feb. 10, 1995, at his home in Tucson.
He was born Jan. 23, 1921, at Claremore, Okla., the son of Albert Aaron and Margaret Clarkson Swift.
The Rev. Swift graduated from Oklahoma University and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, Ill.
After graduating from the seminary in 1945, he spent 41 years of active ministry in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma, before retiring.
He was rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence, from 1948 to 1956. The Rev. Swift had been a Tucson resident since 1975, when he became pastor and first rector of St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
He and his wife, Mary, were married on Sept. 4, 1943, at Norman, Okla. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, John, Tulsa, Okla., Stephen, Denver, Colo., and Bob Jr., Tucson; a daughter, Sarah Smith, Edgerton, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
The family suggests memorials to the church.
