— Graveside services for Philip Eric Hodson, 64, Lakeview, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lecompton, with military honors conducted by Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14 of the American Legion.

Mr. Hodson died Monday, Dec. 11, 1995, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 27, 1931, in Lawrence, the son of Clarence Noah and Ruth Rachel Collins Hodson.

He grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

After returning to Lawrence, he worked for the Lawrence Fire Department and FMC Corp. In 1959, he began work as a maintenance engineer at the DuPont plant in Tecumseh. He remained in that post until he retired in 1986.

Mr. Hodson was also a lifelong farmer in the Lakeview community.

He married Nelda L. Easum on Dec. 20 1952, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Philip Allan, Lawrence, a daughter, Teresa Ann Dodson, Oklahoma City; a brother, Billy Clarence Hodson, Lenexa; two sisters, Betty Jean Rogers, Lawrence and Sharon Marie Engel, Mansfield, Pa.; two adopted grandchildren and a grandson,

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to the Lecompton United Methodist Church Building Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
