An Ozawkie woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident about three miles east of Tonganoxie on a bridge over Stranger Creek.
The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victim as Elizabeth Spicher, 72.
The KHP said Spicher was westbound about 4:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 24-40 during a heavy rain when she lost control of her 1991 Mazda on the bridge. Her car spun into the path of an eastbound 1987 Ford pickup truck driven by Quentin Hancock, Tonganoxie.
Hancock, 48, and a passenger in his truck, Casey Hancock, 19, Tonganoxie, both were transported to Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
A hospital spokeswoman said Casey Hancock was released after treatment. Quentin Hancock was admitted to the hospital, but is to be released later today.
