— Services for Agnes Marcella Scanlan, 87, Chapman, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church here with the Rev. Richard Lutgen officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery here.

Mrs. Scanlan died Friday, Sept. 23, 1994, at Chapman Valley Manor.

She was born Oct. 23, 1906, in St. Mary's, the daughter of John M. and Hannah Burke Schoemann.

Mrs. Scanlan graduated from St. Mary's High School and had worked as a secretary in St. Mary's.

A Chapman resident since 1930, Mrs. Scanlan was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and St. Michael's Altar Society, all of Chapman.

She married Paul H. Scanlan on July 10, 1928, in St. Mary's. Mr. Scanlan died Feb. 7, 1967.

Survivors include three sons, Richard, Wichita, Tom, Chapman, and Phil, Chapman; three daughters, Anne Strafuss, Manhattan, Elaine Winterscheidt, Leavenworth, and Mary Easum, Lawrence; a sister, Mary Timmons, Albuquerque, N.M.; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel.

A scripture vigil followed by recitation of rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Londeen Funeral Chapel, Chapman, where friends may call until service time Monday.

The family suggests memorials to St. Michael's Catholic Church or Chapman Valley Manor.
