- Travis W. Stiffler, 18, 1606 W. Sixth Ter., has waived a preliminary hearing on charges of sale of LSD, possession of LSD and violating the Kansas Drug Tax Stamp Act. He is to appear back in court Oct. 11 for arraignment and trial setting. Stiffler was arrested on the charges June 20 in connection with a police department drug investigation.
- A Pomona man was bound over this week for trial on a felony charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. During an arraignment after his preliminary hearing, Ronald D. Chambers, 46, pleaded not guilty to the charge. His trial on the DUI charge and charges of driving while his license was suspended, speeding and transporting an open container of alcohol was set for Nov. 9.
