The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library Book Sale went "very well," the chair of the sale said today.
June Boyajain said the 1993 sale raised about $32,000.
"I don't have any final figures yet, but we are little ahead of that this year," Boyajain said.
She said the library still has many books and will be giving all remaining items away, for free, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
"We want to clean out our garage," she said.
The sale was Friday through Monday at the library garage, Seventh and Kentucky.
