— Mass of Christian Burial for Hazel A. Maline, 64, Oskaloosa, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls with the Revs. Daniel McCarthy and Tom Cawley officiating. The service will be signed for the hearing impaired. Burial will be in the Ozawkie Cemetery.

Mrs. Maline died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

She was born Nov. 11, 1930, in McLouth, the daughter of Wilber (Squibb) and Ethel Laird Brown. She attended Olathe School for the Deaf. She worked 11 years for the Lawrence Laundry and the past 20 years in the laundry department of the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital and Geriatric Center in Winchester. She had lived in Oskaloosa since 1966. She was a member of the Catholic Church, Oskaloosa Lions Club and F Deaf Club.

She married Paul P. Maline Sr., on June 5, 1965, in Kansas City, Mo. He survives at the home.

Other survivors include a son, Paul P. Maline Jr., Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Maxine Beerbower, Kansas City, Mo., Doris Martin and Dorma Allen, both of Meriden and Harriet Tullis, McLouth; a brother, Merle Brown, Lampe, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Nellis Funeral Home, Valley Falls.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends following the prayer service until 8 p.m.
