Graveside services for Lilas Alberta Jerome, 79, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, with the Rev. Robert Freitag officiating.

Mrs. Jerome died Oct. 26, 1993, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She had donated her body to research.

She was born April 28, 1914, in Lincoln County, Minn., the daughter of Albert Martin and Lilas Alberta Holoway Spencer. She grew up in the Emporia area and moved to Lawrence in 1935.

She married Newton Elson Jerome on Jan. 6, 1935, in Emporia. He died Aug. 16, 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Jerome, Overland Park; a son, Robert Newton, Wichita; three sisters, Alice Spencer Sheffield, Topeka, Mary Spencer McAuliffe, Princeton, and Mabel Spencer Olson, Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be sent in care of the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home to Westside Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
