Arlington, Neb. Services for Kenneth H. Toebben, 71, Nickerson, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington, with the Rev. Michael L. Rogers officiating. The U.S. flag will be folded and presented by members of the American Legion Post 71 of Arlington at St. Paul's Cemetery.
Mr. Toebben died Friday, April 29, 1994, at Memorial Hospital, Fremont.
He was born Feb. 26, 1923, in rural Nickerson, the son of Henry C. and Emma Giesselman Toebben.
Mr. Toebben served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, had served as a church elder and on the St. Paul School Board and was a past member of the Lutheran Laymen League.
Mr. Toebben was a member and served many years on the board of directors of the Nickerson Farmers Co-op, was a member of the Washington County Livestock Feeders and Nebraska Livestock Feeders associations, the Arlington Lions Club and Arlington American Legion Post 71.
He married Loraine Feyerherm on Aug. 18, 1946, at West Point, Neb.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Gary, Lawrence, Kan.; two daughters, Beverly, Mandeville, La., and Susan Wolfe, Arlington; a brother, Delmer, Ralston; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home, Arlington, and one hour before the time of service at the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
