Services for Dwight K. Henry, 80, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary with the Rev. Rod Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery in Big Springs.
Mr. Henry died Thursday, March 24, 1994, at his home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1913, in Big Springs, son of John Douglas and Myrtle Ebersole Henry.
He was a lifelong resident of Douglas County. He attended Kansas State University.
He retired as a utility operator from Farmland Industries of Lawrence in 1976. He also farmed in Douglas County.
Mr. Henry was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church. He also participated in the Senior Citizens Bowling League in Lawrence.
He married Irene Brown on Feb. 22, 1936. She died June 14, 1975. He married Beulah Taylor Baker on July 2, 1977, in Big Springs. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Vivian Reynoso, Tecumseh, and Karen Brown, Meriden; a stepdaughter, Patricia Brewster, Lawrence; three stepsons, Gilbert Baker, Topeka, Herb Baker, Milwaukee, and Jim Baker, Winchester; two sisters, Gertrude Rabe, Mabton, Wash., and Alma Powell, Grants Pass, Ore.; nine grandchildren; Nine stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Heights Christian Church, Hospice Care of Douglas County or the American Cancer Society. Memorials may be sent in care of the mortuary.
