A 27-year-old Kansas University student was arrested Tuesday in connection with two recent rapes reported to KU police.
KU police Sgt. Schuyler Bailey said the rapes occurred Feb. 26 and March 13 at the student's apartment at Jayhawker Towers, 1603 W. 15th.
Both victims -- a 34-year-old Lawrence woman and a 29-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman -- reported that the man met them socially and then brought them back to his apartment, where he attacked them.
The first incident was reported the day after it occurred, and police were notified about the second attack two days after it occurred. No weapons were used in either attack.
Formal charges had not been filed this morning. The man remained in the Douglas County Jail today without bond.
