— Services for Harry W. "Poot" Brown, 90, Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oskaloosa United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Feuerbacher officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery here.

Mr. Brown died Saturday, June 11, 1994, at the Jefferson County Geriatrics Center, Winchester.

He was born Nov. 21, 1903, in Oskaloosa, the son of Ira W. and Maude C. Tyler Brown. He was a lifelong resident of the Oskaloosa area.

Mr. Brown worked as a farm laborer operating a steam threshing machine for many years. He worked on county road construction teams and was a gasoline transport driver for Federal Transport Co. He retired as custodian for the Jefferson County courthouse, where he worked for eight years.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church, the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 594, Ozawkie, and Aunt Reta's Cafe Coffee Break Club, Oskaloosa.

He married Fern Bourm June 15, 1927, in Lawrence. She died Feb. 17, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Hayes, Oskaloosa; two sons, David, Paola, and Robert, Perry; a stepson, Lee Westhafer, Aranas Pass, Tex.; a sister, Ethel Fohn, Kansas City, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church.
